Do it Best creates 'member care team’
Do it Best, the Fort Wayne, Indiana-based co-op, created new member care team designed to streamline member support across the company and serve as a strategic partner to Do it Best members.
Its primary goal is to make it easier than ever for members to do business with the co-op by improving responsiveness, consistency, and clarity across all points of the member experience.
Jared Hufford will lead the new team with the title of director of member care. According to the Fort Wayne, Indiana-based co-op, he brings deep organizational knowledge and a track record of successful leadership to this new role.
“This new team will be a driving force in delivering exceptional service for our members,” said Do it Best President Nick Talarico. “Jared’s leadership and understanding of our business, and our members’ businesses make him the ideal person to lead this important effort.”
The company said the appointment underscores the company’s commitment to providing exceptional service and aligning internal teams around the shared goal of helping members grow and achieve their dreams.
The move comes fast on the heels of the creation of a new role — executive vice president of transformation and integration—to oversee the integration of True Value, United Hardware and Do it Best. Marianne Thompson, formerly of Home Hardware, was appointed to the new position.
Do it Best acquired United Hardware in early 2024, and followed that move with the blockbuster acquisition of True Value out of bankruptcy in November. In March of this year, the three companies held their first combined market.
